MiAK is Seeking Evaluator Visiting Team Members for the Accreditation of Architecture Education Programs
22 July 2024 10:11:11
MiAK, which was established to contribute to the improvement of the quality of architectural education by conducting accreditation, external quality assessment, and information studies for architectural education programs, continues its evaluations with devoted and voluntary contributions.
MiAK is looking for evaluators from academics or the business world who will play an important role in the quality improvement studies of institutions by conducting the accreditation evaluation of architectural education programs. The evaluators - the visit team chair and members - take on a voluntary basis; examine the self-assessment report, evaluate the institution by the conditions and processes of MiAK-MAK by carrying out the visit, and present an accreditation proposal. The visit team chair and members who participate in the accreditation process fulfill an important social responsibility duty by contributing to the quality improvement studies in architectural education.
While MiAK-MAK prioritizes volunteer candidates to have at least 15 years of experience in architectural education or profession, it expects them not to be actively involved in management duties as a rector, vice-rector, dean, or head of the architecture department to avoid conflicts of interest.
To participate in MiAK-MAK trainings to serve first as a Visiting Team Observer and then as a Visiting Team Member and President in the face-to-face institution visits planned to take place in 2025 and the coming years, you can submit your volunteering to info@miak.org or fill out the Visiting Team Preliminary Application Form on the website.
