MiAK was officially recognized as the National Architecture Department Accreditation Board for the first time with the Quality Assessment Registration Certificate it received from YÖK in January 2012. MiAK's authority was extended with an update request in 2014. In accordance with the Higher Education Quality Assurance and Higher Education Quality Board (YÖKAK) Regulation published in 2018, the necessary Association and Economic Enterprise establishment process has been initiated in order to apply for the Quality Assessment Registration Certificate again.
